A hot, nutritious meal, made from scratch in our kitchen is served every night of the year from 5:15 – 6:30 p.m.

Food Box Program
The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) offers our guests a food box with enough food to sustain a family of 4 for 3-4 days. Distributions are every Tuesday but the last Tuesday of each month from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. These hours may be adjusted in the summer, so please call the office for more information at 480-464-2370.

Access to Nutrition Assistance
The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP – formerly food stamps) provides eligible households with monthly benefits they can use to purchase nutritious food. By helping families fight food insecurity and meet one of their fundamental needs, they can focus on overcoming barriers to self-sufficiency. Paz de Cristo can provide access to a computer and the internet to apply. Call 480-464-2370 x 2150 for more information or to make an appointment.
Clothe
The clothing closet is temporarily closed. Please contact our office for any updated information.
- Showers are available on Wednesdays 8:00 a.m. – Noon (Apr-Sept), 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. (Oct-Mar).

Empower
The Copa Health office is no longer located at Paz de Cristo. Please visit Copahealth to locate a navigator.
- Mailroom open Monday – Friday (excluding holidays) 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.
- AZ ID Vouchers on Tuesdays from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. first come-first served up to 20 (no groups or outside organizations).
- Birth Certificate assistance on Wednesdays from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. We assist with fees and paperwork. Hard-copy State ID required – no photo copies accepted.

Our Jobs Program helps you overcome barriers to employment through one-on-one coaching, resume writing assistance, and job search support. To ensure you’re interview-ready, we also provide vouchers for Arizona IDs, help with birth certificates, and provide essentials like professional clothing, bus tickets, and hygiene services.
How Can I Get Help With Housing Or Shelter?
Need a safe place to stay? Even though we don’t offer overnight beds on-site, Paz de Cristo is your starting point for housing. Sit down with our coaches, and we’ll help you navigate the system. We team up with local agencies to connect you directly to emergency shelters and permanent housing programs.
What Resources Are Available For Health & Well-Being?
Taking care of yourself is tough when times are hard. That’s why we offer hot showers, fresh haircuts, and hygiene kits right on our campus to help restore your dignity. For serious medical or mental health needs, we’ll connect you with our trusted partners at Circle the City and Copa Health.
How Can I Receive Clothing Or Hygiene Products?
If you’re in need of clean clothes or hygiene supplies, our Wednesday Shower Program and Clothing Closet are here for you. Every guest who comes in for a shower walks away with a fresh hygiene kit, plus new socks and underwear. For bigger items, swing by our Mesa campus—the Clothing Closet is usually open Mondays and Fridays from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
