There are many ways to donate to Paz de Cristo that make a real and lasting impression. Monetary: We are a State of Arizona Qualified Charitable Organization (QCO 20275) which means if you pay Arizona income tax, you can donate up to $506 (for single or married filing separately) or $1,009 for married couples filing jointly and get a dollar-for-dollar credit to your Arizona income tax liability. We also accept gifts of fully-appreciate stocks, and you can donate your Required Minimum Distributions from your IRA to Paz de Cristo. Any amount helps us feed, clothe and empower our neighbors in need. Additionally, we accept non-perishable food such as canned fruits and vegetables, dried rice and beans, canned meat and tuna, and shelf stable milk, just to name a few. We also accept donations of GENTLY USED, clean clothing. Please help us out – we do not have laundry services, so if you can wash and fold your donations, it’s greatly appreciated. Men’s jeans sizes 32-38 with average length are most in demand. These items all make a difference! Sometimes, even the smallest or simplest things can bring hope and joy to people struggling in our community.

Yes. Paz de Cristo is proud to organize special programs and events during the holidays, as we know that this can be a very meaningful time in people’s lives. On these occasions, we accompany the community during truly important moments. During this time of year, we generally need more help than ever, both in terms of resources and volunteers.

Of course! Opportunities are available at all of our programs and services. Opportunities also include hosting donations drives, offering to be a drop off location on an ongoing basis for donations from the community or projects that benefit our community, such as heat relief kits in the hot months or blanket drives in the winter months. We also have opportunities for businesses to join our Corporate Responsibility Sponsorship Program.

Many of our activities are conducted in person, usually at our community center in Mesa, Arizona. However, if you are unable to attend for certain reasons, you can also help remotely. Any action that can increase our visibility is always welcome. For example, sharing the cause on social media, supporting fundraising initiatives, or even telling your friends about Paz de Cristo.

Yes. At Paz de Cristo, we offer long-term internship and volunteer opportunities, which are great if you want to get deeply involved with our cause. These roles are perfect for gaining experience in community work and also in non-profit organizations. We can evaluate each case individually to find a role that suits our needs, but also your expectations.

Yes. At Paz de Cristo, we strive to create a safe and positive environment for all our volunteers. For this reason, volunteers must be at least 12 years old. Those under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult. We accept groups, always with a limit on the number of participants, because our goal is for all activities to be organized and have a meaningful impact on each person.
