Join Our Annual Empty Bowls Event!
Paz de Cristo Community Center is partnering with Mesa Community College for our annual Empty Bowls event! Come home with unique, handcrafted bowls created by MCC art students, have a chance to win ceramic pieces in the silent auction, and enjoy flavorful soups provided by our restaurant partners. Proceeds from the sales of the bowls will benefit Paz de Cristo Community Center. $10.00 provides 24 meals to our hungry neighbors.

Please note: Due to the Veterans’ Day holiday on Wednesday, November 11, our events will be spaced two weeks apart this year rather than our standard one week. Mark your calendars for the following dates:

Student Art Fights Local Hunger
Every year, art students at Mesa Community College create unique ceramic bowls to help fight hunger. These handcrafted pieces become special keepsakes that attendees take home while supporting vulnerable neighbors. In addition, the silent auction features works by local artists. In this way, the students’ talent generates real resources for hot meals and essential services.
Local Restaurants Serve Signature Soups
Local partner restaurants in the East Valley contribute signature soups that enrich the Empty Bowls event experience. Participants enjoy authentic flavors while contributing to the fight against food insecurity. This collaboration between local businesses and the community creates a welcoming atmosphere. Every bowl served reinforces support for families and homeless individuals.
Your Contribution Feeds Our Community
A $10 donation provides 24 meals to residents facing hardship in Mesa and the East Valley of Arizona. The funds raised support evening meals, emergency food boxes, and other dignity-preserving services. Furthermore, the impact is multiplied by the time and effort of volunteers. In this way, every small contribution helps transform lives.
