VOLUNTEER AT PAZ DE CRISTOEVENING MEALS

Hunger never stops, even for a pandemic. At this very minute, hundreds of people in the East Valley are hungry, and many are experiencing homeless.

Rest assured that Paz de Cristo is continuing to feed hungry neighbors in need. In fact, we’ve been providing dinner every night since 1988, and we haven’t missed a meal yet.

Safety Comes First

The safety of our volunteers, guests and staff is our top priority. We are reinforcing all existing procedures for food safety. In addition, we have taken steps to promote health and safety. These steps include

  • – Requiring frequent handwashing,
  • – Sanitizing and disinfecting all surfaces, equipment and utensils as well as
  • – Screening volunteers health and temperature upon arrival
  • – Wearing face coverings when in close proximity to our guests.

Nightly Meal Service Teams

We have reopened our dining room at half capacity and still offer Grab ‘n Go meals for those who can not join us inside. Note that all guests are asked to wear their face coverings until they are served a meal.  Gloves, masks, sanitizer and disinfectant are provided.

Please know that when you sign up for a shift, we are counting on you. Should you need to reschedule, please do so 48 hours in advance so that we can arrange for other volunteers to serve.  Sign up Here
