Members of St. Patrick Catholic Community in Scottsdale, Arizona, have been serving at Paz de Cristo every month for more than 20 years. Their service is part of the St Patrick’s social justice program, an active ministry that addresses the needs of the poor and vulnerable.
Every month, St. Patrick Catholic Community sends 7-20 volunteers for the evening meal service, and they bring non-perishable food items for Paz de Cristo’s food box program. In addition, they organize several donation drives every year for brand new socks, underwear and t-shirts in support of Paz de Cristo’s shower program that gives people a fresh start.
The volunteer group is coordinated by Rose Cudzewicz who also serves as Vice President of the Board of Directors at Paz de Cristo. “I feel very blessed, and it is important to give back,” shared Cudzewicz.
More than 8,000 volunteers gave 37,000 hours of their time and effort at Paz de Cristo last year. We can’t do it without you!
